                                                         ARCHIRODON (ARCO) has been awarded a large scale Oil and Gas, Port Expansion project in Qatar on EPC basis (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction). ARCO has assigned the detailed design to Worley Parsons, Abu Dhabi, and has supplemented the design team with Lead Engineers (one per Engineering Discipline) overseeing and coordinating with the Client the design efforts. We are currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer (mainly for Roads and Wet Utilities).

Assistant Commercial Manager

Job Roles

• Assist the Commercial Manager in ensuring the availability of funds for cash outflows as required as well as in maintaining timely payment of personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and other parties.
• Monitor all financial and commercial obligations undertaken by the company under any agreement.
• Monitor the collection of receivables and insurance claims.
• Monitor that all necessary measures are taken for compliance with the host country laws and regulations, in terms of labour, taxes, customs, business operations, etc.
• Monitor the correct maintenance of financial and personnel records as well as the employee related logistics regarding transportation, accommodation and messing.
• Assist the Commercial Manager in preparing the required Vendor Lists, Subcontract and Service Provider Lists and Comparative Statements for approval.
• Monitor all company’s procurement and subcontracting procedures.
• Assist the Commercial Manager in the establishment of appropriate insurance policies and project contract requirements.
• Monitor the smooth operation of stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Fluency in the English language (oral and written).
• Computer literacy.
• Master’s degree, ACCA and/or IFRS will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of French and/or Arabic language will be considered a plus.
• Prior experience in the Construction Business and/or in multicultural environment will be considered a plus.

 Civil Design Engineer

Job Roles

• Organize and manage all aspects of the detailed design (specifications, reports, drawings) of a team of (Worley Parsons) Civil discipline engineers and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule.
• Coordination with other Engineering disciplines.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good working knowledge of applicable International Design Guidelines, Codes and Standards
• Project experience in Oil and Gas facilities will be considered an advantage.
• Project Experience in Marine Port facilities (Container terminals preferably) will be considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (MSc will be considered an advantage).

·10 - 15 years design experience of general civil works including:

Ø  Wet Utilities

Ø  Buildings and foundations

Civil Engineer

Job Roles

• Works under the Tendering Office Manager in construction projects related to tender estimation of heavy civil, marine and industrial works EPC contracts.
• Deal with technical commercial and contractual aspects of the tender.
• Review/evaluate tender documents and measurements of Quantities for all bill items.
• Prepare schedules for all civil works.
• Prepare estimates of required resources and costs for all civil works (prepare RFQ for materials and subcontractors).
• Prepare/develop construction methodologies.
• Coordinate with other disciplines’ tendering teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).

Qualifications

• University Degree in Civil Engineering from a Greek or a foreign recognized institution.
• At least 5 years construction experience mainly in industrial projects (heavy civil, marine works, industrial, power plants, etc.).
• Good knowledge of project execution methodology.
• Excellent command of English language.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with basic software (Microsoft Office). Knowledge of other software packages (AutoCAD, Primavera P3/6) will be considered an advantage.
• Prior experience in tender preparation (cost of works budgeting) will be considered an advantage.
• Credibility, as well as good organizational, communication and teamwork skills.

Electrical  Engineer

Job Roles

• Deal with technical commercial and contractual aspects of the tender.
• Review/evaluate tender documents and measurements of Quantities for all bill items.
• Prepare schedules for all electrical works (substations, cabling, etc.).
• Prepare estimates of required resources and costs for all electrical works (prepare RFQ for materials and subcontractors).
• Prepare/develop construction methodologies.
• Coordinate with other disciplines’ tendering teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation).

Qualifications

• University Degree in Electrical Engineering from a Greek or a foreign recognized institution.
• At least 7 years construction experience mainly in industrial projects (oil & gas, power, etc.).
• Excellent command of English language.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with basic software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint.) Knowledge of other software packages (Autocad, electrical design) will be considered an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electrical works international standards (piping, etc.).
• Prior experience in tender preparation (cost of works budgeting) will be considered an advantage.
• Credibility, as well as good organizational, communication and teamwork skills.

 Junior Civil Engineer

Job Roles

• Assist in the preparation and checking of the Bills of Quantities as required.
• Co-ordinate with other departments in order to specialist advice and input into the discipline related sections of the estimate, as required.
• Assist estimators in the timely completion of cost estimates, as required.
• Assist the Tendering Supervisor in the compilation of the technical submissions.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil Engineering from a Greek or foreign recognized institution.
• Up to two years’ experience in industrial/infrastructure projects.
• Fluency in the English language (verbal and written).
• Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and any other related software.
