Senior Digital Consultant – Technology Services & Solutions

Description:
Atkins ADS&T division is looking for a Senior Digital Consultant who has a track record in supporting digital transformation delivery and strategic advice within complex and demanding environments and developing effective working relationships with stakeholders ranging from the front-line users to senior leadership level.
Our Digital Advisory team is a new part of our business, within a much larger Technology Solutions and Services practice, which is growing fast on the back of particularly strong performance.  We have built strong reputation and a high quality team in technology consulting, attracting top-tier individuals and delivering work that delights our clients. As part of our continuing growth, we are looking to develop a specialist Digital Advisory capability with a focus on helping clients to realise the benefits and mitigate the risks associated with the accelerating adoption of digital technologies. It is anticipated that the Digital Advisory team will work across the range of clients and locations that ADS&T supports, with an initial focus on leveraging existing strong client relationships to sell Digital services. Digital technology and services in all its forms is a key area of investment for growth within the ADS&T division and the Atkins Group as a whole.

Requirements:
The candidate is expected to demonstrate core competence and experience in delivery of the full lifecycle of digital transformation. Additionally, we are looking for people with the experience and skills in developing business relationships at various levels, including leading and working in teams to deliver great work.  The successful candidate shall possess:
  • Experience in or strongly evidenced understanding of several of the following areas:
    • Digital vision and strategy development
    • Delivering and providing strategic technical/business advice on the latest digital approaches, such as UX, Product Management, Cloud, DevOps/DevSecOps, Mobile, data analytics, web apps, mobile apps, continuous software development.
    • Product management
    • User story and epic development
    • Ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders at a wide range of levels
    • Good general consulting skills (structured thinking, excellent report writing, compelling presentations, rapid rapport building and influencing)
    • Ability to work under broad direction, with a high level of self-initiation
    • Experience of supporting the selling and delivery of digital transformation programmes and initiatives
    • A solid understanding of programme/project management and how it relates contemporary value delivery methods, such as Agile.
    • Good first degree in a relevant IT or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience


Principal Consultant - Digital Strategy

Description:
Atkins is recruiting a Principal Consultant in Digital Strategy for our new Digital Advisory Team to deliver digital transformation and strategic advice within complex and demanding environments and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders ranging from the front-line users to senior teams at the CxO level.
Requirements:
The candidate is expected to demonstrate excellent core competence and experience in delivery of the full lifecycle of digital transformation and agile development. Additionally, we are looking for people with the experience and skills in developing business relationships at all levels, including leading and working in teams to deliver great work.  The successful candidate shall possess:
A proven track record in several (but not all) of the following areas:
  • Digital vision and strategy development
  • Delivering and providing strategic technical/business advice on the latest digital approaches such as UX, Product Management, Cloud, DevOps/DevSecOps, Mobile, data analytics, web apps, mobile apps, continuous software development.
  • Product management

Senior CAD Designer - Bridges

Description:
  • Producing CAD drawings and RC detailing drawings for bridges and other highway structures.
  • Deliver high quality drawings within timescales and budget.
  • Produce drawings in accordance with Drawing Management Standards (DMS) and relevant specifications and codes of practice.
  • Ensure technical competencies are kept up to date.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering with an experience of minimum 6 to 8 years in RC detailing by using CADS RC and should be having strong knowledge in AutoCAD.
  • Sufficient and relevant experience in drafting and RC detailing of bridges and other highway structures.
  • Experience in computer software such as MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Outlook.
  • Good written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues, seniors, team members and clients.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to independently produce engineering drawings to a high standard.
  • Ability to produce appropriate calculations, when necessary, in producing working drawings.
            Knowledge of Revit and Microstation Softwares
  • Knowledge of RC detailing software such as SuperCAD. Tekla and Bentley Rebar
  • Experience of working on drafting and detailing to UK and/or US standards.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline is required. Three years of progressively responsible experience in scheduling, multi-project work programs, including the development, monitoring, updating, reporting and presentation of project plans and schedules. Work experience in a rapid transit environment is desired. Must have well developed verbal and written communications skills. High level negotiating, administrative, analytical, problem-solving and planning skills are required. Experience with spreadsheet, database and word processing software required. Proficiency with Primavera P6 Project Management is required. Directly related work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of educational requirement.

Requirements:

Sr. Project Engineer

Description:


The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, design oversight, execution and closeout of assigned engineering project within established budget and schedule.
Responsible for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver project according to plan.
Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assigned projects.

Initiates and develops equipment and system designs. Takes equipment and systems from concept through to commissioning and testing.

Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as chemical engineering systems including reaction vessels, filtration systems, ion-exchange skids, piping and vessel systems.

May run experiments and tests to aid in the development of processing systems.

May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.

Performs a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods to document compliance with project and code requirements, which may include mass and energy balances, pressure profiles, pipe, pump and vessel sizing.
