Senior Foremen
Education:
-Completion of Higher Secondary Education plus 3 years Diploma in Automobile Engineering or equivalent.
-Fairly spoken and written English and Arabic languages.

Experience & Skills:
-Minimum 7 to 15 years experience in Repairing, Maintenance & Overhauling of Heavy Earthmoving Equipments like Dozer, Loader, Excavator, caterpillar, Komatsu, Heavy Duty Cranes, & Heavy Duty Vehicles like Trailer, Truck Vehicles etc.
-Knowledge of welding techniques, special workshop tools i.e. tires changing machine, hydraulic press.
-Can operate all types of equipment.
-Should possess a valid Qatari heavy Duty Driving License.

Technician
 Education
-Completion of full time secondary education, followed by a minimum of two years (ITI / Diploma) full time training in instrument maintenance, electronic and microprocessor equipment to Ordinary National Certificate level, except where good background and experience is advantageous especially relating to the oil and gas production industry, including gas compression. Any relevant courses to be taken into consideration.
-Fair knowledge of English, in both written and spoken.

Experience
-Minimum 4 years experience in the maintenance and repair of wide range of instrumentation, electronic, pneumatic, gas turbine and gas compression control and protection systems, logic microprocessor based control equipment. 
-Should have a good knowledge of safety practices relating to the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.

Primary Purpose of the Job
Installs, cleans, calibrates, maintains, modifies, overhauls, re-commissions and tests all installed instrumentation and control systems, including pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentations as per the instruction by Senior Tech / Instrument Engineer. Assist in the maintenance and fault finding, repair and calibration of gas turbine controls and protection systems in accordance with prescribed routine and preventive maintenance procedures. Carry out effective maintenance offield instruments including routine inspection, Testing, calibration, repair, maintenance, commissioning and liaise with production personnel fault diagnosis and maintenance of instrument related to gas turbine Control Systems, Vibration & Temperature monitoring & Protection systems, Anti- surge control systems, HMI, PLC / SLC

Principal Accountabilities
-Carry out effective maintenance of field instruments including routine inspection, Testing, calibration, repair and maintenance, commissioning. Carry out breakdown repair, maintenance and calibration of electronic and pneumatic instruments in site or in workshop. This shall include, but not be restricted to work, F&G detectors, electronic transmitter for various process measurements, pneumatic transmitters and controllers, stand alone controllers, Control valves of different types, shutdown and blow down valves of different types including pneumatic actuators, Solenoid valves, SDVIBDV related panel instruments, UP converters, level transmitter, temperature transmitter, local indicators, analytical Instruments.
-Carry out preventive Maintenance Jobs. Helps Senior Tech to Collect & Maintain
Necessary documents related to corrective, Preventive Maintenance. Involves in making the work permit and carry out the required work as per the work order.
-Witness function tests, loop checks and verifies data sheets, reports and documents as instructed by Senior technician/Instrument Engineer.
-For instruments that cannot be repaired on site, assist in arranging to transport to central instrument workshop. This includes testing and calibration as well as isolating, removing, dismantling, inspecting, calibrating, repairing, testing, installing and commissioning of all the instruments mentioned.
-Carry out onsite fault diagnosis of gas turbine control systems, gas compressors control systems including anti surge control system. This will involve checking and trouble shooting of systems, field instruments, vibrations, displacements and temperature instrumentation. Routine maintenance of control systems and field instruments.
-Carry out minor modification works along with general technicians Carry out Pre shutdown, Shutdown activities as per planned schedules and contracts
-Carry out Fault diagnosis DCS Systems PLC ESD and F&G and associated field instrumentation, Carry out effective maintenance by doing routine inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of Toxic and flammable gas detectors, Testing of flame detectors and heat detectors
-At the start of each shift as instructed by senior technician! Instrument Engineer, perform the corrective / preventive / breakdown maintenance. Follow safe and proper working practices in preparing permit to work for all worksites. Liaise with production operations personnel. Reports general/senior technicians as and when required for updating jobs and plant status.
-Ensure worksites & related equipments are left clean, tidy & sealed before leaving worksite. Ensure that the plant is left in a safe condition where it is necessary to carry over the work to the next shift and maintain good house keeping. Follow proper time keeping and attendance.
-Carry out jobs as per ISO / QMS procedures & maintain Documentation.

General Technicians
Education

Primary Purpose of the Job
Forms part of a team with a crew of technicians in carrying out the routine preventative maintenance of process control systems and equipment including electronic and pneumatic instrumentation. Includes dismantling, inspecting, calibrating, repairing, testing, installing and commissioning a wide range of field instrument equipment. Carries out repair work on turbine control panels and assists in the repair work of small pneumatically controlled instruments and valves. Ensures all work is carried out in a safe, timely and cost effective manner and according to planned schedules and procedures.

Principal Accountabilities
-Participates with a crew of technicians in carrying out the routine preventative maintenance of process control instrumentation. Including repair, maintenance and calibration of electronic and pneumatic instruments in site or in area workshop.
-Troubleshoot logic circuit of turbine control system, DeS, PLC, ESD system and maintain Fire & gas systems and associated flame detectors, flammable gas detectors, toxic gas detectors, heat detectors, Testing, isolating, removing, dismantling, inspecting, repairing, calibrating, installing and commissioning of the full range of electronic and pneumatic instrumentation used in the hydrocarbon industry.
-Repair and calibrate electronic transmitters (SMART and conventional), pneumatic transmitters and controllers, solenoid valves, pneumatic actuated valves, liP converters, level, pressure, flow, temperature transmitters, local indicators (pressure and temperature etc.) in the field and workshop.
-Repair and maintenance of various types of control valves, shutdown valves, blow down valves on site.
-Witness function tests, loop checks and verifies data sheets, reports and documents as instructed by Senior technician/Instrument Engineer
-Carries out repair work on turbine control panels ESD and Fire and gas panel PLC and DCS panel in emergency requests and / or engineering Work Orders requiring Hot/Cold
Work Permits. Replace defective relays, solenoid valves, solid-state or relay logic instrumentation as identified during inspection.
-Participates with Technician-l in the repair of pneumatically controlled instruments and valves as required, ability to read instructions from technical manuals and manufacturers recommendations.
-Carry out instrument control equipment inspections at field locations. Receives emergency requests to attend to the defective instruments. Liaises with production Supervisors to arrange plant access and issuing of appropriate permits and either repairs on-site, replaces unit or removes and returns to central instrument workshop for repair and testing.
-Documentation - Calibration sheets, Test equipment inventory, hand tools inventory, pressure test records, inspection reports, daily activity reports. All these shall be completed as and when required.
