Construction
Inspector
- Maintains
payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Updates
payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage,
savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
- Prepares
reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave,
disability, and nontaxable wages.
- Works
with the human resource & timesheet groups to resolve open
issues/discrepancies.
- Determines
payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and
social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and
workers compensation payments.
- Resolves
payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Provides
payroll customer support by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains
payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed
changes.
- Maintains
employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information
confidential.
- Contributes
to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications :
- 3
years’ construction inspection experience, preferably for NYC-Area
Agencies such as: NYCDDC, NYCDEP, NYCT and/or PANYNJ
- BS
in Engineering or Construction Management, or related field of study.
- NICET
II Certification required.
- Demonstrated
commitment to providing a safe and healthful workplace
- Strong
communication skills, both written and oral.

Qualifications
- Minimum 4+
years payroll experience.
- Software:
Microsoft office suite, ADP Enterprise or Vantage experience.
Familiarity with Deltek Vision or Workday a plus.
- Associates
Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required.
- Must
be able to work weekend/holidays as needed due to submission of payroll
deadlines.
