Drivers will be required to load petroleum products into the transport by inspecting the transport for compliance with safety regulations, confirm the products to be delivered with dispatch and load the products safely. Drivers are responsible for sampling/testing to ensure product quality. Drivers must transport the product from the distribution facility safely. This entails conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adjusting driving habits to road conditions and being able to position the transport at both load and unload sites. Upon arriving at the unloading site, drivers must inspect the transport and the surrounding areas, ensure that the tank at the site will be able to hold the product and ensure quality control. Drivers must meet all regulatory requirements with all training modules and completion of all paperwork (DOT, Marathon Petroleum, etc), and by complying with Marathon’s safety rules and guidelines. Drivers must coordinate with the transport scheduling analysts to ensure that the correct products are being sent to the correct sites at the correct time. Drivers will be required to troubleshoot issues and make minor repairs on the truck as necessary. Drivers are responsible for any relevant work as assigned by the Regional Transport Manager as necessary to support Terminal and Fleet Operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is required. Candidates must have an excellent driving record, be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid CDL with Hazardous and Tanker Endorsements and be able to pass a required DOT physical, drug test and background check. Laboratory Technician
Description:
Marathon Petroleum Company is seeking a Technician in its Refining, Analytical, and Development (RAD) – Analytical Services organization located in Catlettsburg, Kentucky. This is a full-time, salary non- exempt position and may involve shift work.
Perform routine analyses in the Analytical Section laboratories, and effectively communicate with customers and staff. Interpret results and ensure testing/reporting meets customer expectations.
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain analytical equipment. Ensure method and SQC compliance. Ensure all lab methods meet or exceed both published/accepted method criteria and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the setup and evaluation of new instrumentation, including the MOC evaluation and pre-startup reviews for new equipment, participate in incident investigations, and follow all laboratory safety requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field, with at a minimum of 20 hours of chemistry.
Computer skills, and experience with LIMS and MS Office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Process Technology Intern
Description:
Marathon Petroleum Company LP, a recognized leader in the energy industry, is seeking Process Technology Interns at our Catlettsburg, KY refinery.
This internship is a one-semester program consisting of a minimum of 300 hours of work experience over the semester. The intern will learn about the roles and responsibilities of an Operator at the refinery. We are currently seeking interns for winter and summer 2015.
Qualifications
- Must be registered students at the Ashland Community & Technical College and enrolled in the 2 year Process Technology Program which leads to an Associate’s of Applied Science Degree or a recent graduate (one year) of the program.
- Must have good class standing. No academic probation accepted. This includes a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Pipeline Operations Technician 1
Description:
The Operations Technician Trainee position is located at Marathon’s Lima, OH facility. This position works in and around petroleum products and crude oil facilities executing Operations & Logistics, Damage Prevention and Right of Way Relations activities. The successful candidate will perform such duties as: facilitating and monitoring pipeline movements and conducting product sampling; tank switches and cuts; assure accordance with all regulations in support of DOT, Environmental, Safety and Regulatory compliance. Travel, call-outs, and overtime will be required on an as-needed basis. Marathon Pipe Line LLC operates more than 5000 miles of underground pipeline in 15 states. The successful candidate is required to live within 45 minutes of the reporting location (Lima, OH).

Procurement Contracts Representative
Description:
This position is responsible for obtaining the energy requirements for Marathon Petroleum Company’s locations throughout the Midwest and East Coast. It will also include the procurement of natural gas for the asphalt terminals as well as for the Speedway locations. Warehouse Supervisor
Description:
- Warehouse Operations
- Provide oversight on warehouse daily business and supervise the hourly workforce and contractor crafts assigned to Warehouse

IT Professional - Internal Auditor
Description:
udit is a fast-paced environment in which the successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and testing Marathon's information system (IS) control environment. An IT Infrastructure auditor participates in reviews of internal controls within computer applications, technology infrastructure, and developing systems. Initially, this position will focus on technology infrastructure with opportunities to later focus on application controls. Technology infrastructure includes Mainframe, Windows, UNIX, VMWare ESX, SQL, Oracle, SAP, business and process control networks. Transport Scheduling Analyst
Description:
The Transport Scheduling organization is responsible for optimizing and scheduling the movements of transports (trucks) to Speedway gas stations, light product terminals, crude wells, and other internal and external customers. This includes coordinating the movements of gasoline, diesel, renewable fuels, kerosene, jet fuel, crude oil, and LPG’s across the supply chain. The Transport Scheduling Analyst plays an essential role in optimizing MPC’s truck and carrier fleet movements in order to maximize corporate profits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business and/or Logistics is preferred. GPA must be at or above 3.0. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to work with both internal and external customers. Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and flexibility are essential to complete this job on a day-to-day basis.

HES Professional
Description:
As a member of the Marine HES&S team, the Emergency Preparedness & Security Coordinator manages response plans, Emergency Response Training activities, oversees the security operations of the Marine Organization, coordinates compliance audits and participates in emergency response and security activities that directly support the Responsible Care Management Systems and Responsible Carrier Program. Work activities may take place in an office setting, on barges, boats or in the Marine Repair Facility.
