Roles
·
Develop and establish a
workable and realistic Project Schedule to meet project requirements and also
to track and update the overall Master Schedule – Infrastructure development
which comprise of milestones and sub-milestones
·
Identify the delaying
events of each project beforehand (before the delaying activities could happen)
and to advise the Project Team members on the mitigation measures to be taken
in order to overcome the project’s delay and to ensure the implementation
acted in place accordingly.
·
Lead the assessment of
EOT and to advise the Project Team member the outcome in order to ensure the
fair assessment of the claim being carried out prior to submission and
presentation for approval.
·
Advise the Management from
time to time on issues that affecting the planned dates as in the overall
master schedule in a timely manner by addressing the progress issues i.e. delay
and variance in order to minimize the risk and impact to the planned dates of
the overall master schedule.
·
Advise the Project Team
members on the impact of time due to Employers Instruction changes / requests
to the existing contract / project for Management’s decision.
·
Develop and establish the
Manpower Planning in collaboration with the Master Schedule and Budget for the
Management.
·
Ensure the contractors /
consultants prepare and implement the project planning scheduling procedures
comply with the agreed contract schedule. Review and recommend for the
acceptance of the contractor’s / consultant’s project schedule.
·
Ensure continuous
improvement of Project Management Control through analysis of project schedule
database which shall function as a key reference / benchmark / best practice
for future project of similar nature.
·
Update the Management and
relevant Authorities monthly on the status / progress of projects into their
standard program that was introduced and established.
·
Evaluate the bidder's
submission (as the Evaluation Committee Member) in the tender evaluation and
assessment. Prepare the evaluation report prior to submission to the relevant
Board Member for approval.
·
Prepare and update
project schedules, monitoring and reporting of project progress and able to
analyse and evaluate the progress tracking.
·
Able to identify the
delaying events of each project beforehand and to advise the Project Team
members on the mitigation measures and to ensure the implementation acted in
place accordingly.

Strong understanding of
CPM and WBS and applying them into the schedules.
·
Review all Clusters
Master Schedule in order to meet project requirements and also to track and
update the overall Master Schedule.
·
Review and finalize all
Clusters Monthly Progress Report, Project Status Report, Project Coordination
Committee (PCC) Report, Weekly Progress Report and etc. in order to ensure the
completeness and accuracy of the reports prior to submission.
·
Review the assessment of
EOT and to advise the Project Team member the outcome in order to ensure the
fair assessment of the claim being carried out prior to submission and
presentation for approval.

Advise the Management

Vast exposure to project
scheduling and preparation of various progress reports.
·
To advise the Project
Team members on the mitigation measures to be taken in order to overcome the
project’s delay and to ensure the implementation acted in place accordingly.

Ensure continuous
improvement of Project Management Control through analysis of project schedule
database which shall function as a key reference / benchmark / best practice
for future project of similar nature.

Preparation of WBS,
Programme Level Schedule and Baseline Schedule.
·
Preparation of
Information Required Schedule and Overall Design Programme.
·
Preparation of
Procurement Schedules and resolution of delays to the project schedule.
·
Valuation of General
Contractors Schedule.
Qualifications
·
Degree in Engineering or
related disciplines from any recognized University.
·
Minimum 6 years working
experience as project planner / scheduler in construction projects with
construction & M&E experience in multi disciplines’ building
construction projects with M&E experience.
·
Project Management
Professional (PMP) certifications / Registered with relevant Professional Body
is an added advantage
·
Experienced in using
Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 and other planning software.
·
Able to work with clients
and to deliver tangible outputs within agreed timescales and specifications.
·
Able to apply analysis to
live projects, has front-line experience on a range of construction project
types.
·
Has an interest in
construction and contract law.
·
Good communication,
interpersonal and supervisory skills. Mature, self-motivated and independent
working.

Engineer
Roles
·
Ensuring the design
information required by the contractor is supplied by the Consultants in a
timely manner.
·
Ensure the progress of
construction is in line with the approved QA/QC plan, method statement,
drawings and specifications.
·
Ensuring site inspections
are taking place.
·
Attend and witness all
related testing and commissioning.
·
Co-ordinate and resolve
technical and site issues.
·
Reviewing construction
risks.
·
Ensuring a mechanism for
dealing and assessing with claims.
·
Review and co-ordinate of
CPC, CF and handover documentation such as as-built drawings, O&M manuals,
inventory and authority approvals for the submission to the client and end user
·
Attend to end user
complaints, monitor defect rectification works carried out by the contractor
during the Defects Liability Period (DLP) and co-ordinate final rectification
works for CMGD and issue of the Final Certificate.
Qualifications
·
Relevant Degree in Civil
Engineering or related discipline.
·
At least 8 to 12 years of
working experience in the Construction of major projects.
·
A professional qualified
engineer registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia or a similar
engineering institution.
·
Experienced in
marine/ports industry with preferable Accropod II experience
·
Must have experience in
the role project management consultants and management of the Principal
Consultants in supervising the Contractor in delivering the works.
