Technician
Roles
In the role of a Production Technician,
your primary responsibilities include ensuring all process equipment functions
safely, and accurately meets cycle times and quality standards.
You will frequently monitor all vital
systems involved in the production process and make the necessary adjustments
to meet quality/production standards
Also, you will assist resin material
handlers in their work processes if needed, along with relieving machine
operators to assist with production when required.
You must also ensure that all materials
meet quality standards, and that there is no raw material loss through the set
up of handling systems.
Qualifications
To become an ideal Production
Technician, you possess Technical education in Engineering or equivalent work
experience. Also, working knowledge of plastic processing using Blow/Injection
moulding is a must-have.
A minimum of two (2) years of production
experience is required, and previous automotive experience would be considered
an asset.
You possess a strong mechanical and
mathematical aptitude along with great verbal & written communication
skills.
Project
Engineer
Design
Engineering
You will be involved in the design and engineering of new
products while at the same time, will approve designs and drawings by our
designers. You will prepare Product and Process feasibility studies and all
other documentation required to support customer expectations. Also, you will
be expected to prepare detailed product and tooling cost quotations in response
to Customer inquiries.
Manufacturing
Engineering
You will manage Advance Product Quality Program (APQP) meetings
as well as manage new product tooling programs. You are expected to analyze and
implement on-going process improvements to improve production efficiencies and
product quality. You must also ensure that all new moulds and secondary tooling
meet the established quality specifications, and to assist, where required, the
Quality and Production departments in troubleshooting and problem analysis in
conjunction with any issues of quality or production efficiency.
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelors Degree
in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent working experience in
Engineering management, preferably with Blow and/or Injection Moulding. A
minimum of three (3) years’ experience in project or process engineering within
the automotive industry would be considered an asset. You must also demonstrate
a solid understanding of overall engineering concepts such as quality
standards, APQP, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Production Part
Approval Process (PPAP). Advanced organization, communication, and
interpersonal skills are key. Proven financial management and Microsoft Office
skills would be an asset.
